Connecting and creating community is a crucial component of integrating new employees to our organizations. The first three months of an employment relationship is critical. The time and cost of recruiting is escalating. How can we leveraging Web 2.0, social software tools, many of which already exist within the technology applications on our desktops to welcome new recruits, present a positive first impression of the company, share its norms and values and fast track the connections that need to be made so new recruits not only stay, but thrive within their new organization.
